THE SMART PARKS MISSION
Our philosophy is straightforward. We dedicate our services and technology to protect endangered species and conserve the environment. Smart Parks seeks to work collaboratively with partners who have a similar mission and meet our strict ethical standards.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
We love innovation and technology, but we love protecting people and the environment even more. Therefore, we decided to combine our 30 years of experience in conservation and law enforcement by launching Smart Parks. We love innovation and technology, but we love protecting people and the environment even more. Therefore, we decided to combine our 30 years of experience in conservation and law enforcement by launching Smart Parks.
Since 2013, Smart Parks (previously known as ShadowView) has been using innovative techniques for the protection of endangered species, humans, and the environment. Through the use of sensor technology and other cutting-edge technology Smart Parks continues to enhance its methods to help people, animals, and the environment.
Smart Parks technologies and tracking methods have been constantly developed and the foundation continues to work on a wide range of conservation projects.
By working closely with partners and experts who have been internationally active in wildlife protection for many years, Smart Parks is always equipped to offer support to allied organisations with an environmental mission.
PROVING THE CONCEPT: A SUCCES STORY
The Smart Parks story began together with Tony Fitzjohn in Mkomazi, Tanzania, where for the first LoRaWAN- equipped sensors were succesfully deployed in the horns of critically endangered black rhinos.
